An aromatised wine with an extra bitter kick. Punt e Mes literally means "point and a half" in Piedmontese, this Italian vermouth is half way between rosso vermouth and the Campari (a point of sweetness and half a point of bitterness).
Use as substitute for rosso vermouth in a Negroni, over ice with an orange twist, or as a staple ingredient in a range of classic and modern classic cocktails, where it has become irreplaceable.
