Ingenio Manacas 'Extra Anejo' Rum

In 1948 Juan Jiménez Villalba was entrusted with looking after the company's office in Cárdenas, Cuba.

He observed that the sherry casks' incomparable characteristics made them excellent for the local Cuban distillers to age their rum in.

Some colonial estates and sugar refineries, as Ingenio Manacas, traded their rum with Juan for them.
After Cuban Revolution Juan

Jimenez Villalba shipped back to Jeres some of these rum casks and created a small solera.

Nowadays, this Ron Extra Añejo is made following the guidelines and writings of our fondly-remembered foreman.
