Origin: USA (Hawaii - Molokai Atoll)
Table salt
Description:
For Hawaiians, colors are associated with the elements; the black given to this salt symbolizes the volcanic lands.
This salt is extracted from the waters of the Pacific Ocean, in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is harvested by solar evaporation, then blended with mineral extracts, including activated vegetable charcoal usually derived from coconut shells, which gives it its unusually black color.
Its salinity is clean and pronounced.
Usage tips:
It is perfectly suited to the classic uses of ordinary salt, adding a beautiful black touch to dishes. We recommend using it as a finishing salt.
It will be a surprise on eggs, scallops, or a fish carpaccio.
It pairs well with raw vegetables, tomatoes, feta, and burrata. Sublime on seared salmon, a fillet of white fish, or grilled meat.
For dessert, it provides an original finishing touch on vanilla or coconut ice cream.
