Carlo Alberto Riserva Superiore Red

Since 1837, Riserva Carlo Alberto has been crafting Italian vermouth in Turin. Legend has it that this aperitif wine was created for King Carlo Alberto. The recipe was reportedly passed down to Tumalin Bartolomé Baracco de Baracho, a vintner who commercialised the vermouth.

 

Riserva Carlo Alberto offers three vermouth varieties: red, white and extra dry. While all are exceptional, the red stands out. This elegant vermouth is a blend of two Piedmontese DOCG wines Moscato d’Asti and Erbaluce Caluso, infused with 25 herbs and spices.  The result is a bittersweet aperitif with floral, fruity and herbal notes, complemented by layers of warming spice.  The bottle design mirrors the liquid inside, drawing inspiration from Turin’s architecture, particularly Palazzo Madama, Art Nouveau influences and the Gran Madre di Torino’s colonnade.
